What We Collect
When you use Backstock, we collect the following information:
- Account information: Your name, phone number, email address, and business name — provided when you sign up for a demo or create a buyer account.
- Order data: Products ordered, quantities, timestamps, and fulfillment status — generated through normal use of the platform.
- Inventory data: Stock levels, product catalog information, and receiving logs — managed by your organization's administrators.
How We Use It
- To operate the Backstock platform and process orders between your locations or buyer accounts.
- To communicate with you about your account, support requests, or product updates.
- To generate analytics and reports visible only to your organization.
Data Isolation
Each organization's data is completely isolated. Your products, orders, stock levels, and buyer accounts are not visible to any other Backstock customer. We use row-level security at the database level to enforce this separation.
Third-Party Services
- Supabase: Database hosting and storage for all application data.
- Vercel: Website and application hosting.
- Formspree: Form submission processing for demo requests on our landing pages.
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers or data brokers.
Data Retention
Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription, we will delete your organization's data within 30 days of your request.
